4 for 2024: For the love of the lost and your joy!
Listen to this raw and honest testimony of a sister in our church, who despite her personal reservations and fears, stepped out in faith to testify the good news of Jesus in a walk-up evangelism encounter last year.
“After a disheartening conversation I was resistant to continue in our walk-up endeavours. Yet, the Lord had other plans. One man was left sitting on the edge of the water fountain and I believe God placed him there for such a time as this. By the grace of God, we plucked up the courage to go and chat to this older man. To our surprise he was warm and inviting. We gave him the invitation to our Christmas service and he expressed his desire to know more about the meaning of Christmas. It was evident God had already been working in his heart. The man shared how he had a difficult previous few years due to some marital struggles. After sharing we had the opportunity to pray with the man and share the gospel with him. Praise God! We then provided him with the gospel of John and encouraged him to come to church with us in the near future. This man is yet to visit SG, but my prayer is that the Lord would continue to minister to him. We serve a God of wonders and this was evident through our walk-up experience.”
As encouraging as it is to read stories about overcoming experiences like this, all the more so when they become our own experience. On these 4 dates this year, we will be meeting at the fountain at Hornsby Westfield. We will meet, pray, have some equippng & training time, and then go out in small groups to share. For the love of the lost and the joy of your souls, come along!
